    Default 10 Earthquakes Hit Texas

It doesn't matter where you live earthquakes and/or sink holes can happen. One more reason we prepare.

Salt dome collapse would be pretty bad too. Like the one Bayou Corne.

    Default Science vs silly hype

I'm not a geologist or seismologist but "When I hear hoofbeats, I think of horses not zebras". A more logical and probable explanation would be the well documented Balcones Fault Zone (aka Ouachita Fault Line) that runs through Irving, Texas.

One of the biggest problems for the DFW area now is all the Bubbas calling 911 to report their windows shaking while people with actual emergencies cannot get through. More buildings are damaged due to foundations settling due to drying clay soils in recent drought conditions than by these minor earthquakes. The fracking does take up a lot of valuable water. Now that is a issue that may be worth fighting over! Also the Ogallala Aquifer and how long it takes to fill up again!

Allegedly Mark Twain said: "Whiskey is for drinking and water is for fighting over."
    http://quoteinvestigator.com/2013/06/03/whiskey-water/

I don't know all the details about Fracking but the Saudi Arabians are nervous about it that is why our price at the gas pump is at a 5 year low today. Here are some details about its impact on our water supply that may have an actually survivability impact on some folks in Western regions. Personally I am skeptical about everything. I hope I am wrong but suspect that once the USA has given up all hope of energy independence (shut down wells and production) and the world's economy has taken off again (energy demand increased) the Saudis will jack up the price to a staggering level.

Earthquakes are primarily caused by natural movements of Plate Tectonics not human behavior.
Wars are fundamentally over scarce natural resources, and as Mark Twain or other's noted many were fought over water scarcity or access. Religion, political views (abstractions like "freedom" and relative patriotism) and such are just excuses to motivate people to pick sides, these are not the primary reasons to fight wars ask anyone who as graduated from a major national military academy and paid attention in these particular classes.

I don't know....all the old ranchers down at the feed store......the same ones that have been taking the money from the wells, and the lake, and the pipe lines.....think it's the fracking......

BTW they only ranch for fun these days..

Default FUD or science y'all be the judge

    http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2015/02/06/s...f-quake-study/

^actually read this article!!!! Was written at about a 5th grade level, very low reading comprehension level is required!!!

USGS and University Scientists with decades of experience, advanced degrees and advanced sensitive instruments or some "old ranchers down at the feed store" betting on their fears, y'all be the judge. Reminds me to the "dark ages" when science was ignored in favor of FUD "fear, uncertainty and doubt". How did that work out for them folks.

Default Retribution from the spirits of Bum and Tex

On a full moon at midnight a spiritual medium held a Séance for some die-hard Dallas Cowboy's Fans and me on the site of the former Cowboys Stadium and the spirits of Harvey Roberts "Bum" Bright and Texas Earnest "Tex" Schramm, Jr. appeared to us. They said they were VERY VERY "ticked off" with the destruction of the stadium and how Jerry Jones was mismanaging the team. These were their reasons for haunting the area and causing the earthquakes. BTW Bum was a petroleum engineer and knows how to use those two "fracking" wells along the fault line to his advantage.

That's my "story" and I'm sticking to it.

I also have some toll bridges all over Texas I would love to sell you highly lucrative shares in on a cash only basis, OPPS sorry is that a little spammy, LOL

They work to find water lines, cables, pipes, conduit, sewer lines, drain tiles. At least folks tell me they do. So....how do you know what you got?

Default TX Stadium implosion => Earthquakes ? you be the judge

This is the original seismic event that actually precipitated the the earthquakes in the area:

The 6+ minutes of silly comments and hoopla of fireworks and BS before the actual implosion for Texas Stadium are also a little amusing. I believe that at least 500,000 views of this and other youtube videos of this implosion were by Washington DC Redskins fans. But seriously it was primarily the irate paranormal activity of former Dallas Cowboy's fans, owners, players, managers that has led to the dramatic increase in seismic activity. They have been communicating to me that this will not subside until Jerry Jones sells the team to someone who manages it better, and ONLY then do they have a chance of winning another Super Bowl.

However, that spiritual medium has taken down her website, is no longer at the little wooden shack by the Interstate. So perhaps it WAS just all "Smoke and Mirrors" LOL
    Was I conned?

Edit: Next time I will take one of these to the Séance just to be certain

In the 70's I worked for Recon out of OKC. We built and added on to existing electrical sub-stations. When we needed to tap into a buried ground cable we'd try where the blue prints said it was buried but if that didn't work we'd witch for it using two pieces of large gauge copper wire held parallel. That worked much to my surprise.

And that is why they make pipe and cable locators. You can pinpoint both location and depth. I preferred not to dig but if I had to I only wanted to do it once.

I was taught by one of my employers in the early 80's. I watched him do it, started laughing until I dug up the water lines. Then he showed me how to do it. I was taught to use the metal coat hangers bent to the correct angles.

under the conditions mentioned to "win" the prize, there will be entirely too many negative vibs in the air which will neutralize my abilities, but I can do it...

Negative vibes can usually be avoided with copious amounts of tin foil. I've also found that setting out a pan of glue and wearing rubber clothing also helps. Simply tell the negative vibes, "I'm rubber, there's the glue. Bounce off me and....whatever rhymes with glue".
