I found a claw hammer beside the road and made this tomahawk. I ground off the claw part and welded on a piece of steel. Then tempered the steel and put an edge on it.
It needs a better temper job for the blade. The hammer end still works good.

Looks good to me, just grind the weld down. If you need just edge temper use a torch, then into oil when cherry red, don't really need to go to non-magnetic for that.
You are a man after my own heart. First that you found it on the road. Second that you stopped and picked it up. Yes!! I stopped and picked up a retractable dog leash and a tool handle today!!! You da man! The tomahawk looks great.

Can I have it?
1. If it's in your kit and you don't know how to use it....It's useless.
2. If you can't reach your kit when you need it....Its useless.

What? Can I have it? What kind of question is that? Of course you can't have it. He's saving it for me.

not bad there. what type of steel was used for the blade? it beats my solution of just using a roofing hatchet.

some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"
Man, do I feel silly for thinking "what kind of question is that...can I have it?" Jeesh - who would've thunk it?
What?! I'm, I'm speechless and you know that's a first.
