    I grew up being a big Remington fan, but it seems like they have way too many recalls lately......

    I still love the 870 and 597, nothing else I really feel like touching in their new category.

    Thanks for the heads up.........

    I still love my 870's....but haven't even looked at anything newer than 10 years ago....
    Friends bought the bolt model 770 rifle....and seem to like them?

    I've always liked Marlin lever actions, though I never had one in 30/30. I got one back in late 2011,made by Remington, the big lever model with laminated stock. I read were a lot of folks were complaining about fit and finish, so I looked quite a few over and found one that looks great. I was down for 2 years due to some heath issues and did not get it to the range till last fall. It shot great and seems pretty accurate. But unless you hold it straight up and move the lever very slowly the bullet hangs up and will not chamber, Of course it was out of warranty due to the 2 year layover. I plan on keeping it but I guess it looks like I'll be paying to have it fixed.

    Hmmm, I wonder if Remington has a Quality Manager job opening....
    Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...

    I'll take a look around, if they are not ISO certified or some other form of ensuring Quality, they are open to some pretty reasonable legal problems.
