This doesn't seem like it's possible... How are they going to keep it from coiling on him. He would have to be in some pretty incredible suit, and I can't see the snake actually wanting to proceed with swallowing him. Even if they made it regurge that's still pretty bad for the snake... Surprised they'd be allowed to do this without animal cruelty charges.

More reasons for me not to get a tv.

The clip shows the suit at about .34.

And who in the hell insured this production? Also, are we talking like an unusually small man? Because Anacondas can eat large animals, but, say, take a capybara, right? The very biggest is like 140 pounds. Deer aren't all that big, and you tend to get smaller bodied examples of a species in warmer areas.

    Haha!

There have been adult men swallowed by adult rock/reticulated pythons. I had a picture of a mans corpse being cut out of a dead one. It's not that far of a stretch.

But this garbage is. Going to watch the clip and check out the suit now...

Only in America..............apparently, you can search the internet for sites on this from PETA, Business Insider and TV Guide. You can also sign a petition to stop the airing of the program, and you can obtain a number to call the Discovery Channel and express your opinion about the program.

As a high school senior, a very long time ago, I worked at a natural science museum where I fed and cared for an anaconda among other creatures, probably abandoned pets. This six foot specimen was fed white rats. I was impressed by its speed attacking the rats and by its power when coiling around my arm. I hate to see an interesting and beautiful snake being used for a publicity stunt.

Course, the whole thing is an exercise in futility unless they serve the guy with some rolls.

So, evidently the "show" was a bust since the guy couldn't get the snake to eat him.

Can't say I blame the snake...

Oh, the snake was cooperating. It was they guy that had second thoughts. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014...people-fuming/

I love the picture and comment after the article with a guy whose finger is in his dogs mouth saying Hey Discovery - can I get my own show?

Sure glad I didn't watch it.

I tuned in the last 15 minutes because I knew that's where the action would be. Pretty dumb. The snake wrapped the guy up, started to swallow him then he started complaining the snake was breaking his arm. Well, hey, don't fault the snake. 15 minutes I'll never get back.

So the show is over? I'll have to look up what happened, as I was not willing to search for this particular program. I suppose we know now why TV has been called the "boob tube" ....people want to see shows like this. Oh well, there are always talk shows where a husband and wife come on to scream at one another, or any of the innumerable televised court shows. The USA seems to be expert at exporting the best of its culture.
