    Default Paracord Belt......SG

Looking thru the latest catalog....found these....paracord belt......wonder how much paracord is in it?

Can rifle slings be far behind?

Now if they had a belt that the outer edge came off leaving the rest of the belt intact would be a wonderful idea?
    Paracord guys/....What do ya think.

A fat lot of good that belt is going to do me. If I use it to try to climb a cliff I'll be losing my drawers (get it? fat lot of good....I slay myself).

You should get a job as a standup survivalist.

Yeah, I actually made a couple of rifle slings...a single cobra weave and a double down to a single....
I'm not real good at it, so I kinda bring it up...hoping I can get some one that says...Hey I'll make you one for $20 bucks.
    So far no bites....LOL.

Anyway, posted the OP on a different forum...got all sorts for instruction on making the belt....all real helpful...if I was gonna do it.
One guy did post a vid...first 30 seconds was blank w/talking....then a good example of a woven cover over a cobra stitch.......cool, but couldn't hardly see it.

But I said, Good idea, crappy vid......Oops, sorry.....Kinda embarrassing........Guy probably thinking, .....What a Richard........

I made one and am wearing it almost every day. There is about 100 feet of paracord in my total (tip to tip) length of 44" of belt. I made a fixed keeper and a sliding keeper.
The buckle is from a 30 years old Camel belt where the leather has broken...

Believe me, the weaving part was not fun...I can make a single cobra weave bracelet in 10 minutes...a total length of 15 feet paracord into a 8 " lobg bracelet...but when I was making this belt...just to handle the rolled up cords to start the initial weaving (double cobra weave) was really really cumbersome. But halfway into the weave, the work starts to get easier, and it was smooth sailing,. The people on the vids bragged a 2 hr time frame..it took me 6 hrs..the first 2hrs was simply trying to figure out how to do it...hehehehehe...nope..not gonna do it again...hahahahahaha

My intention on this thread was to give heads up an what I considered a reasonable price paracord belt...most likely from china.

Things kinda evolved in a good way with suggestions and advice.......and a discussions on rifle slings....something that I would consider taking apart if needed, still carry rifle.... more that a belt, pants falling down.

As did did post this mon a couple of other forums....and member on one stepped up and said he can make a belt or sling that had an outer covering, and a core, that cloud be separated if needed.

Said he could hook me up......

So as we speak, I have sent him the swivels (ends) and he will build me one to my specs and colors.

    We keep y'all posted.

If you want to see the vid ...PM me....as it will be a link to another forum (I think, will looking that)

P.S. I didn't realize this guy made the vid....and starts off with a blank screen for 30 seconds with him talking , than an off centered subject.
I did call it was a crappy vid, and had to apologize all over the place.....LOL

I can't warm up to paracord, much prefer leather and rawhide.
so the definition of a criminal is someone who breaks the law and you want me to believe that somehow more laws make less criminals?

Now ..come to think of it,...don't you guys use suspenders? I do...as when the belt goes, it helps to keep the pants up...

A properly fitted hong doesn't require a belt or suspenders so I have been told.

Well as I have a parang, a survival knife, a water bottle and a survival kit on my belt, I do wear suspenders so that the belt and pants doesn't go down. Its mor e comfy and easier to move about..and if I take out my paracord belt, i still have my outer belt with my suspenders.
