Turn a Spoon Into a Fishing Lure

My dad and I made spoon jigs just like this, however we didn't paint them.
Worked pretty good, hauled in quite a few nice bass.

Back in the day, when the Hudson's Bay Company issued a survival kit to their back country employees, the kit contained a spoon with a hole already drilled for making a spinner lure.

I seem to recall a Boys Life or one of those Magazines having a "How To" back when.....
Pretty cool idea....even the HBC....smaller spoons may work better.

BTW HBC Kit....
This is from the book 'How to Stay Alive in the Woods' by Brad Angier.

The kit measured 12 x 11 x 3 1/2 inches, weighed 11lbs, and was watertight. It was standard issue to all HBC aircraft at the time.
