Tent stakes

What do y'all use for tent stakes?
Most of mine are 1/2 square stock made by the blacksmith....about 16" long.

Tipi used locust stakes about 1-1/4 in in dia......carved with bark left on the top end.........

Lately picked up some Coughlan's spikes...about a foot long for the Sportsman Guide Pyramid

Then today I found this.......Don't use them any more

I used a few types, the ones that I bought are usually lite weight and some are v shaped. However it depends where I am camping, sometimes I use the ones I DIY (simply by sharpening the tip and bending the other) from surplus construction materials, either the Y or R metals.
If I wanna loosen my load, I would use other tress surrounding my campsite or near my hammock or bamboo rods.

I have used Couglans, sticks, and aluminum stakes, what I like is Screwdrivers long ones with big handles usally buy at garage sales, plus work great for multiple uses around camp.

I use aluminum mostly. Tents stakes and I have an odd relationship. If I camp in a campsite I always fight tent stakes. It's weird but I have a collection of them. All kinds.
