Default Preparedness Month. Augason Farms Storage Foods?

Sam's Club is advertising relevant products for "Preparedness Month." One item They're carrying I'd never heard of before -- storage foods from Augason Farms.

Does anyone here have any knowledge of, or experience with, Augason Farms' products.

Thanks for any info you can share.

It is just a brand for freeze dried/dehydrated stuff. I use their dehydrated milk powder all the time. I have used several other items from them as well and have had no complaints. I usually buy at the local grocery stores here.

Stalking ads. Hate when that happens. Means it time to sort the cookies.
Haven't tried the Augasson stuff. We have mostly Mountain House around here.

We have a Sam's haven't been there, seems redundant to Buy a membership to a store....seems to me they should pay me to go there.

DD does though...so maybe Ill check it out....or try a bucket on line.

Mountain House is what I have purchased to date........and a lot of just house brands.

I've tried MH and Wise. The Wise was a free sample and it was awful. I'd have returned it had I paid for it but I'm sure they wouldn't want it back.
I'm OK with MH. It's not bad at all.

Most of the Augason Farms stuff is individual components. Like you get a bucket of peas. They do have some mixes, but for the most part, it is individual components. Mountain House is generally full meals with everything mixed together. So, they aren't really comparable. My preference is to buy the individual stuff and make my own meals with my own control over ingredients. MH has a ton of salt in their meals. I use the Augason Farms chicken bullion a lot as well because it doesn't have any MSGs in it. A lot of times when my kids make ramen noodles, I will throw out the included flavor packets and add the Augason Farms chicken bullion instead.

The main reason I get this brand is because it is convenient for me. I haven't been disappointed, so I keep buying. I am sure there are other brands out there that are just as good, if not better.
