Delaware is actually better than Guns & Ammo seems to think. Guess they didn't talk to any DE people at that NRA show .
Right to carry is pretty decent. I got my ccdw in 19 days. The only county that takes their time before issuing permits is New Castle county and that is where all the libs, crime and half the population is.
Rifles are sold here but hunting with a rifle on a coastal plain state is not allowed for a good reason. We're too dang flat. We hunt with rifles in PA and MD.

    26,
Wisconsin has had two major changes in the last couple of years, Concealed Carry and the Castle Law.

If you look at the ranking in the top right corner you will see that each state got a score based on 5 criteria. it was not just a random popularity contest or a poll taken down at the mall.

The only variable was the miscellaneous category that included presence of public shooting ranges and promotion of hunting and shooting sports.

North Carolina is number 19! Not surprised. At least we aren't Washington DC.

    Rick, Indiana is number 24.

Thank you. We were robbed. On demand, open or concealed, no test or class, lifetime permit, no issue with any type of weapon, no requirement to announce, stand your ground and castle doctrine, which extends to vehicle. Right to carry on employer property. We was robbed I tell ya!

Once again, your state is lower than you expected due to the miscellaneous category. Your state has restrictions on hunting with rifles.

There is also an issue with SBR and SBS approvals.

You are still up there with 42 out of 50 points and anything over 40 seems good. Seven states scored 42 so being 24/25/26 is in the "toss up" area.

Well, okay then. It's a good thing you clarified that. I was fixin' to send Vito after those boys. He has an approved SBS.

I moved out of NJ in 1975. I uncomfortable just visiting because of some of their gun laws.

What I find rather humorous is that Texas, with its "gun on every belt/we take no crap" reputation, ranks 14th, while my eastern US home state of KY ranks #5.

One of the reasons I moved too and live in KY is the support for the shooting sports in that "miscellaneous category" that is evident here.

Not just the firearms laws over CCW and "open carry" and what can be owned/used, but also the access to public land for hunting, public access shooting ranges; target/trap/skeet. We also have the largest deer/human population ratio in the US, with heavy concentrations of wild turkey and the largest reintroduced elk heard in the eastern US, with 10,000+ free range animals.

    # 12, but we must be doing something right. Remington is moving several of their manufacturing lines to Huntsville, almost 2000 jobs.
