There was a family found in the Siberian wilderness a while back. They were completely isolated from other people since WW II. Shortly after they were "discovered" three of them died from getting sick. Apparently they were never sick before.

Interesting. Two of them died of kidney failure from their diet. Since they were 250 miles from their nearest neighbor I suspect this might actually be NativeDude.

What a great but sad story. I think it would be fair to say that those people were the ultimate survivors!

The only thing you could do is isolate yourself and immediate family as soon as you hear that the pandemic is spreading, and hope for the best. And yes, once i have declared isolation, all visitors would be turned around no matter who they are! It's the only way to handle it in my opinion.

I've wondered about that....
You hear about "stand offs"....... swat shows up, tear gas, and generally end badly.

So, you go to your door and say, "Everybody stay away"...........Some how or other Ruby Ridge comes to mind.

My thinking is up most care would have to be taken.

If you were so concerned about persecution that you would hide away in the wilderness why not find another country? They were only 100 miles from the Mongolian border. I would think there were other options besides living like that.

A virus outbreak hits the US every year, multiple times a year. My family just had our turn. A virus outbreak hit, and we all got sick, and then we all got better. But, before we got better, we made sure to pass it along to the next folks.

We sent it to Indiana....by the way.

To me it would be considered as using good sense to protect my family. I guess if I was surrounded by the army or police, I would have to reconsider but was mostly referring to other average people!
