hi everybody
hey, ive been lurking around for a while and finding some really cool tips i dont see anywhere else, figured it was time for me to log on and say hello.
im a divorced father of two grown girls, one granddaughter, and ive been backpacking since i was a kid. this year i am hiking from georgia to maine,starting on the benton mackaye trail and continuing after the smokies on the appalachian trail to maine.
ive been a solo backpacker my entire life, so the ability to handle myself in survival situations is important. i really dont anticipate this happening on the A.T., but this site attracted me immediately, so here i am!!
my name is a nickname they gave me at work years ago, which eventually became my trail name.
