Collectibles
So my gun guy called me today. He's just picked up dozens of collectible guns - long guns and handguns - many of which are plated or detailed in gold. The previous owner's father was an armorer for the KGB. My dealer is waiting for instructions from a court before he can sell them, but he's giving me a preview and first crack at them. I'll be taking a look on Saturday.
I'm not sure if I'll be buying, but I'll definitely take pics of several of them.

I guess my interest in the "made to be collectable" guns is pretty much zero.
Have had a few over the years, and was told , don't shoot them, will ruin the value.
The last 'Gun of the Year" from DU a Kimber 1911, cool rose wood grips and DU serial number.... gets shot regularly.
Mostly I pass on the plated, signed and numbered offerings,.... would rather spend my money on a tool......That I can use.

Got a look at some unique guns today, mostly handguns. I didn't recognize half of them. There will be lots of long guns arriving on Tuesday.

Nice collection. Dad brought back a broom handle Mauser he took off a Field Artillery officer. It had the matching holster and tool kit. Mom caught me playing with it when I was a little snipe and made him sell it. Truth be known I'd have sold the kid first and kept the Mauser.
