April 24 to 27, Cartersville Georgia.
Exit 290 of I-75, halfway between Atlanta and Chattanooga.
Got the call this morning from Tim, one of the organizers, asking if I wanted to give a seminar or two. Had to decline as I just don't have the time right now, two 5 year olds are keeping us busy. It is nice being asked.
He mentioned that they will be having the following seminars / displays;
Basic flint knapping
Advanced flint knapping
Bow building
Arrow building
Flint / steel fire making
Friction fire making
Woods walk with edible plant identifcation. (I'm going to make this one)
They usually have a atlatl competiton and chances are that there will be an archery target set up.
They will be having all the hooyahs here on the Saturday, the 26th.
They usually have alot of good rock for knapping and carving, along with critter parts, bow staves, arrow makings and all kinds of neat stuff.
The park is located on Allatoona lake, the water is up, and it's just beautiful.
Oh yeh, they do have real bathrooms also.
