Hello Everyone!
Mikhail from Miami,
20 years in Florida, previous 30 - in Russia.
Working as computer networks system administrator, network engineer for a charter airline.
Have a military/survival training a while ago when served in air force for 8 years.
Longest backpacking trip was 60 days across mountains of Caucasus in summer time.
Numerous overnighters during fall, winter and spring in harsh weather on rugged terrain.
Not too much of winter experience, this is why I'm here.
Familiar with cutting, chopping, splitting tools, as well as with hand and long guns.
Done some of construction projects, from stand alone utility buildings, to a lean on add ons, too many to remember.
Have a college degree in electronics and communication, probably slightly outdated, but fundamentals are still useful.
Can fly a plane, plant and harvest veggies, can fish and hunt with long gun, bow and arrow.
Interested to get off the grid and away from crowds.
Have a grown up kid who's my best support in anything I do.
Considering myself a survivalist, or a someone who's very interested in self reliance.
In process of preparing and planning my relocation to a remote Alaskan interior land for a purpose of building a cabin.
Any help would be much appreciated, I'm not easily intimidated, so picking and jokes are welcomed at any time.
Had a pleasure to read some posts from AS and others - very great help.
