I've fought over a lot less, kinda like the fat, ugly woman that kept looking gooder & gooder to me the more I drank. I think that's a sport, just pays better than some. That is a natural aptitude just like other sports heroes have. (p.s. I got beat up over that gal so I guess that made me the winner.)

I don't know Coot. I hear tell that if you marry a fat, ugly woman she'll never leave you and even if she does you haven't lost anything. That's just a rumor, though. I don't put much stock in rumors.

I compete as well as wareagle. There really isn't a better form of competition that I can think of. I mean, any fool can go out and put a football in the endzone or a basketball through a hoop.

But what's the most dangerous prey you can hunt?

Your confining yourself to a limited area with no environmental advantages, and you're only possible advantages are the levels of physical conditioning and mental apptitude. So it's no longer a hunt, but a direct confrontation with an equal, or close to equal, opponent.

I got a lot of friends in the circuits here in TX.
For me, it's not about the money at all, but I don't compete at paid competitions.

I do it to maintain my survival skills. Survival in a physical altercation on the street is just as important as being able to start a fire. Moreso in my environment.

I do it for free, for the effin' fun of it.

I guess that makes me a bigger fool than St. Pierre and Serra, huh?

But I bet you wouldn't tell me that in person.

Actually, what I said was, "But what's the most dangerous prey you can hunt."
Most of us aren't doctors, so if you wanna go off and hunt virii and bacteria, why don't you go to medical school?
You don't have any clue about how I live, so maybe your frail self is more afraid of a disease, but *shrug* your fears are your issue. And viruses don't think, don't "hunt", they just infect, and many of the ones that you mentioned, like AIDS, require stupidity like unsafe sex or sharing dirty needles to contract.

We get it...you are the most dangerous thing around.
I never said I was the most dangerous thing around. If you're intimidated, *shrug* it's ok, fear is natural in all prey animals.

And all you see is the same because that's all you open your eyes to. Maybe if you toned down the rhetoric a little bit you could do a little bit more drinking and "****ing" and lighten up a bit.

And since I took the bait and answered your post this time, I'll go ahead and say this too; the only reason you have such a negative attitude towards martial arts is because you don't have the discipline that it takes to REALLY make something out of your body and your mind. So you focus on the easy one for you. Or you just couldn't cut it and kept getting your azz kicked.

Knowing the both of you from this forum I know you both would give the shirts off your backs to help not only someone but also each other.

I found this quote: " Ruin and recovery are both from within". - Epictetus (?).

We all have strengths and weaknesses.

It seems I end alot of threads. That should probably mean something to me?

Anyway, good luck to your relative Bragg.

Oh don't worry Rebel. I've got a feeling this isn't over yet. After all, the fight hasn't taken place yet. Plenty of time for us to yammer on about stuff. (.....and if it does end, now you can blame this post)

Come on Sapper we talked about this. He knows all ,says nothing the more you pay attention to him the bigger he becomes in his own mind and yet still says nothing. But ya gotta give him credit he knows a lot of big words and never gets tired of typeing. He is some little twep sittin in mommys basement haveing fun on his PC he would not last 5 min in the woods, he wouuld try to talk the fire into starting it's self and when it didn't he would die. As old as I am I would love a few min in the ring with him, but that would take him from his cyber world in to the real world and he seems to like it in " Remys" world or Vols world or who ever he is today I also am done with this. He will never say anything or answer a question, just type away and say nothing and take up space here. Pretty much like he is doing in real life.

Here's a thought. Agree or disagree, that sometimes makes life fun. I would like to see us ALL stop the personal attacks. I know that they are sometimes difficult to stay away from, but they really don't do much to further any arguments......just create new ones. Thanks all for listening.

    Just look at "nature".
In a format such as this they seem to just evoke an emotional response. Now if that is the goal of the attack, I understand. Just don't see them as useful in this format.

So to recognize and weigh a force is what...part of survival? Is that the goal in a situation such as the ones you describe?

I think I understand what you're saying. Wouldn't it be accurate then that if there were two opponents (UFC or anywhere else), both trying to play the role of the antagonist and elicit an emotional response so as to "get into the head" of the other and distract them from their goal, that that would be in a sense a skill that could be valuable in a survival situation? Somebody that participates in cage fighting would, I imagine work to hone that skill, which should serve them well in a survival situation. For example distracting a mugger.

I'm dizzy, make the merry-go-round stop. I thought this thread was about Braggs friend or cousin or something and a sporting event. Why are we throwing rocks here. I happen to think 98% of the folks on this fourm are smart. I learn stuff here from all of you. I don't get sports on TV. I don't understand psychology either, so I guess I don't see how this cat fight started. Explain it please.

lol. Why? We've got our very own little UFC going here. It's very exciting to watch. Kinda like a super-slow plane crash.

    It's all good.

Just feel like crap is all. Healing sucks. Snowing like a bugger too which adds to the gloomyness. Oh well, the fight on the weekend will perk me up.
