I looked at the Massachusetts comments. Unfortunately, a lot of the "advice" given is dead wrong. Anyone following it stands a good chance of losing their License to Carry and spending some time behind bars as a guest of the Commonwealth.

Yeaaaah...don't really trust that site. My state is a bit off. But the concept of it is cool.


I love how they say California is "modern and up to date" yet balis are still illegal because they look dangerous....

What really irritates me is this.
You violate Penal Code 21310 PC – California's law against concealed dirks or daggers – when you carry a concealed straight knife which can be used to stab and seriously injure someone.

Legally, "dirk" and "dagger" mean the same thing. Penal Code 16470 PC defines them as:


a knife or other instrument,


with or without a hand guard,


that is capable of ready use as a stabbing weapon, and


that may inflict a significant or substantial physical injury or death.


So ANY knife.....

Ohio's is wrong too, here the only knife you cannot carry is the ballistic knife that shoots the blade, all others are ok they even got rid of blade length. Now that being said you cannot carry any knife into a state or county or city government building or bank, you either secure it in your vehicle or don't come in. As far as the deadly weapon goes only if used in the commission of a crime or if you argue with the cop or security about your right to carry it. He11 a pencil could be used as a deadly weapon too.

I think Illinois looks pretty accurate...I was carrying a 4" blade there all week last week and I was nervous about 3" being the limit...good info to know!
