He probably died because he didn't get the crap. If you eat foie gras that stuff will pass through you like goose liver sliding down a wet iceburg.

Actually, I understand the consequences quite well.

Default Please, let me explain myself:

I have quite a few obese friends. Not overweight...obese. I love them, deeply! We go out to eat all the time, and we never talk about "weight". It's a sore subject for them and I can't (and never do) say anything about it they don't already know. They order their crap, and I order mine.

I only mention it here because it's a "survival" forum. And because I find a contradiction in prepping to survive in all ways but the one that really counts. The ground zero of survival, as it were. So...forgive me...never meant to offend or preach. I just really care about you, that's all.

BENESSE, if I had to choose to live a life other than my own, and I was limited to two choices - your life or that of James Gandolfini - please don't take offense when I ask you to call me Jim.

Well, no one would because they know you'd never answer. You'd be dead. Just thought I'd point that out.

You know what Elvis would say if he were alive today. "Help me. Help me get out o' this box".

Ken, you assume that I'm living a life of deprivation and boredom. Eating twigs, drinking distilled water, and counting calories. Nothing could be further from the truth...but then you don't know what you don't know.

That's not true at all. And yes, I'm well aware of what 30 years worth of maximum job stress, smoking, and eating rich foods can result in.

Looking back at it all, I shouldn't have survived my twenties.

It's nice to see that we're all looking out for each other.

For the record - I like NYC just fine. I spent a lot of time there during my youth and while stationed nearby.

We all make choices in life, the food we eat being one of thousands.

His last meal makes alot more sense than Whitney Houston's last meal.

My retirement plan is to be dead.

Um, I think you can accomplish that one. Just sayin'. Gettin' dead is easy. Gettin' alive not so much.

    Just remember.........

Both Mama Cass Elliot and Karen Carpenter would probably both be alive today if Mama had given Karen that ham sandwich.

I'm sure your kids will say...hey, at least he died happy in his 50's...and you're grandkid will say, hey, it's OK...I hardly remember him, wish I had a grandpaw in my life, but a foie gras and crap made him happier so fare thee well...
Of course what you fail to understand is, that dieing will be the LEAST of your problems.
Sooo......What problems did Gandolfini have, before he died? Do you call living life to the fullest, a problem.
(Hey, you're the one who used him as the example, in the OP.)
