    Default Special Election

    Well, today's the day that the Peoples' Republic of Massachusetts holds its special election to fill the United States Senate seat most recently held by John Kerry, our new Secretary of State - the guy that Vladimir Putin just laughed at.

    So I'm heading out in a few minutes to cast what I expect will be yet another futile vote in ultra-liberal Massachusetts. I sure hope I'm wrong.

    The very best line of all time was uttered by Kerry in 2011. When talking about a House proposal that would cut some $60 Billion from the budget he said and I quote, "[It would] do great harm to our country because it strops away our ability to be able to create the future ... "

    There you have it folks. The future is bought and paid for by the U.S. government. If the rest of the world doesn't step in line we'll just not purchase any future for them. They'll be stuck in the here and now forever.

    I took that a little out of context but sadly very little out of context. The words were his.

    Ken, just looking at the small crowd out when I was there, you and I have no hope.
    There was no one holding signs at the driveway gate up to the school except for one little old lady from the "Term Limit Party". LOL. I honked and waved as I went by. Made her night I think.
    <what the heck is the Term Limit party?> <googling>

    Results are starting to come in now.

    <yeah it's the Huff. It's MA. >

    Edit, there is just no way for the midstate towns to outweigh the voting power of Boston alone, let alone adding the suburbs and sellouts in western MA. Once the Boston number comes in, it's over. Oh well. There's always 2014 (yeah right.)

    If we are to have another contest inour national existence I predict that the dividing line will not be Mason and Dixon's, but between patriotism & intelligence on the one side, and superstition, ambition & ignorance on the other

    It's sad. I voted and picked up my Mom so she could vote at another precinct. Nobody outside either precinct. No signs. I was the only voter there when I went in.

    I voted at 7:35, 25 minutes before the polls closed. The precinct has 3,400 voters registered. I was voter #627. It's just pathetic.

    I don't know how much longer I can stay in this state. It really really stinks to have to consider leaving the place you've called "Home" for nearly 50 years.

    Geez ... it sounds like you guys' areas had less voter interest than many local districts did for state-level primaries in 2012.

    You can read whatever you want in it...the results are the same.
    Some people feel better carrying banners, making proclamations and burning effigies. That ain't my style, but I can assure you, I am not sitting on my bed eating bon-bons and watching Duck Dynasty.

    Uh, you have a problem with Duck Dynasty? Send your bon-bons my way.
