Clever! I'd be a little doubtful for some finer-grained spices, but for rosemary and ground parsley and the like, this is brilliant. (the worry comes from how the hinges and latches on those containers are... cheap, to put it nicely)

This could definitely be a good way to store money or .22 lrs or matches or any other number of small things you want to keep tidy and moderately water-resistant. Thanks for posting!

They are flat sided, so would pack well.....I like that.

How long they last, would be a question.

Who has that many of those around?

All in all, one of the better ideas I have seem....Thanks for posting.

I probably haven't eaten even a whole single box of TicTacs in my entire life, let alone that many. Never the less, it is a good idea.

That is kinda a hang up.....I must have 3-4 boxes around in vehicles, and drawers, have never seen an empty.....and wouldn't spend the money for enough of them to do any good.

A while back, some one had posted about using the plastic tubes that glitter comes in....have cool shaker top and everything.

Now for me, youngest kid is 40, GS is 1000 miles away....but what the heck, I found some at the dollar store like 7 for a buck....cool, Right?

Well, what do ya do with the glitter?....hate like heck to just pour it out, which I did....the wash out the tubes.

I will have glitter FOREVER on the work bench, floor, shop floor mat....looks like I blew up a fairy.....
But hey, was a cool idea, and into the bag it goes.

Did I mention that these little tubes are kinda cheap?....and one crushed, (?) but I have Mrs. Dash all over inside the little pouch I put them in.

I'm all for good ideas, and all for recycling, re-purposing.....so thanks for posting this idea, but I am commented to glitter tubes.....LOL

I am going to be nice and refrain from any comments on the fairy part of your post. I saw tubes similar to the ones you speak of, But they were rigid plastic If I remeber right they had some type of candy in them.

Fairy as in cartoon?, Tinker bell?... Flying around bopping ya with the wand, and getting glitter everywhere ....LOL, Guess I need to be more PC.....

I am amazed what people imagination comes up with.....whose mind would connect Tic Tac boxes with spices......or glitter tubes for that matter.

Gonna be quite now, seems I'm digging deeper.

Now that right there is funny I don't care who you are. God bless them little pygmy fairies down there in New Guinea.

Thanks for the laugh. That was pretty funny.

I had this vision of an alcohol fire explosion, fairies flying into walls trying to get away and a cloud of glitter in the air. I know, my brain works weird.

So what should I do with all of the 1 pint and 1 quart Chinese food plastic take-out containers I get every month?
