Personally I just gonna worry about THEM....as I already know know that.... US.....can pretty much take care of ourselves, no matter where you are.........
I do find it annoying that you can't order a pizza from elk camp 15 miles (and about 20 gates) up the mountain, 70 miles from any kind of town...and have it hot.

    State of mind folks....

I think some of us are taking what the man is saying the wrong way. I see the statement I live where you would bug out to as meaning,
this is where most people think of running to. Not this is where you have to be, if you were smart. I hope we can forestall any flame wars here on this.
I live on the north edge of Seattle and will be bunkering in. This is where the wife and I choose to live.

Fortunately most of the vehicles are SUV and pickups so I suppose we could go across the lawns.

You see, I took the pay cut and got out of even the suburban area many years ago. I already live where you would bug out too.

The last time I was anywhere near the city was taking Winnie on a guided tour on the way to Bass Pro and REI! That was in Oct, last year.

You urbanites made your choice, bug in, bug out, walk, crawl or drag your shopping cart through the rubble, whatever you want to do.

You know what is going to happen, but you stay there anyway.

Hmmm, I think if you came toward my house yelling out "WILDTHANG" I'd either burst into song , or run like hell.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't blame anyone for worrying about me if I came to their house yelling out my user name

Just so everyone is clear.........Utah is probably the worst places to bug out to. No food, no water..crazy people. However, the midwest is probably the best place.

Correction: with that many mormons around, you're going to be surrounded by neighbors with two-year food supplies. Remember, my kind (or former kind... whatever) stores that much food and medicine not so we can live off it for two years, but so we can support ourselves and our friends and extended families for several weeks/months. In other words, if you live in utah, be kind to your neighbors.
