    Here one I have seen.....
Friday night before deer season.......Guy goes to Walmart, buys a rifle with scope already mounted, and a box of shells......
"I ready to go hunting in the morning"
O dark thirty show up guy whines about getting up early, wants a full breakfast cooked for him, doesn't have the proper clothes, so you lend him some.......Get out to the woods ...late....and have to load up his gun.

Put him on a stand, that you found....and in about 30 minutes, kills the biggest deer of the group with one shot...then hollers and yells for help as he has no idea what to do.

So you help him out, and spend most of opening morning doing the work, cleaning the deer, dragging it out....guy has a bad back....

After you take him to register it...he starts in with the "I don't know what the big deal is on all the prep, scouting, sighting in, getting up early, and such........Nothing to it, ....See ya, gotta date"

    Anyone been there?

Doesn't work for most everone else, but worked for him........Once.

Kind of reminds me of Orville, my brother in law. When I was about 14, Orville bought himself a very expensive 30/06 with a high end scope. For the next 10 years or so, he went hunting diligently. Out of those 10 years, he told Dad and I that he never even seen a deer. So it was obvious to us that he didn't know where to go, how to scout out deer, and basically how to hunt in general.
Now Orville was a great guy, and we liked him a lot, but his hunting skills just sucked. And before deer season, that was all he talked about, so we knew he wanted a deer badly. I think to him, it was some sort of right to passage or something.
So flash forward a few more years and Orvill was getting older, around 50 years old and still no deer! It was deer season in Oklahome, and I had scouted out a spot where an 8 point buck was leaving scrapes and coming through every morning. His rack was a true 8 point, but was kind of narrow and not quite mounting quality, at least for me.
So that was when a brainstorm hit me. I decided to shoot that buck, gut him, and around 3:00 am in the morning, I would take that deer and hang it up in Orvilles back yard on the clothes line post, and that is what i did. luckily it was cold enough that the deer kept well until the next morning hung up behind our house in an old shed.
Well it wasn't 6 hours until dad got the call, and Orville was boasting about his 8 point. Dad didn't know what I had done, so he was pretty proud of old Orville, and course Orville wanted dad to come help him quarter it out. When Dad finally told me, I had to tell him what i had done. Dad started laughing and couldn't stop, and everytime Orville would tell us the story about bagging that deer, Dad and I would almost throw up trying not to laugh.
Of course Orville had the head and the tail end mounted and would tell everybody the story about how he shot that deer when they went to his house. That stupid deer made Orvilles life complete, and finalized his passage to manhood.
To the day he died, he never knew where that deer came from! True story!

My favorite: A rolled up news paper is more effective than a .25 acp.

I knew an old guy that ground up soy beans and used it instead of buck shot. He said the soy beans would begin to swell once they started soaking up body fluids. I also know a couple of guys, teen agers at the time, that can attest to the truth of his statement and their celebration at his death.
