Default Changes in the firearms dept, at Cabales?

Quoted from a friend this morning....

There was a bit of confusion at the Cabala’s Sporting Goods store this morning.

When I was ready to pay for my purchase of guns and ammo the cashier said,
    "Strip down, facing me."

Making a mental note to complain to the NRA about the gun control wackos running amok, I did just as she had instructed.

When the hysterical shrieking and laughing finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to my credit card.

I have been asked to shop elsewhere in the future.

They need to make their instructions to us seniors a little clearer!

Sorry, even though the proposed new rules and restrictions are no joke, and a good example of Government bullying, for lack of a better term.....I couldn't resist to attempt to add just atad of levity to the subject.

Just got back from a gun show. I needed that laugh after seeing the pricing at the show.

The only .22 ammo still available at Wal Mart are "shorts." Maybe that's a hint?

I went to a gun show in Maumee. I bought 2 boxes od Federal .22 ammo, 500 per box for $37 per box which wasn't such a bad deal. There were people totim AR's and AK's around everywhere wanting $2000 dollars for them! I has an extra 12ga barrel for an 870 shotgun, and traded the barrel and $300 for a mint Ruger single 6 with the extra ,22 Mag cylinder. Then I went home because i had everything I needed and didn't want to spend any more money, but I am happy with what I got!

I work at a gun show every sat. Last week picked up a nice Taurus M605 snub nose in .357Mag for $375.

Saw AK's for 1100-1400 and AR's started at 1550. SKS were $600 plus.

Passed up on a very good Mossberg 500 in .410 for $215. Kicking myself for that one.

Strange thing occured after the show though. Went for a walk and the Taurus slipped outta my pocket as I was crossing over a bridge atop a lake. I hate when that happens. Luckily, I missed the canoe that was down there.......

You know it's bad when your run of the mill Mossin's were going for $350 - $400.......and moving.

My own ammo stash on the other hand is a joke. Just not a particularly funny one. I somehow think I'll be better off not stocking up in this particular market.

Speaking of buying guns at shows, there were 3 wounded slightly when a guy uncasing a shotgun at the Raleigh, NC gun show had his weapon accidentally fire. DA hasn't decided whether to file charges or not. I think there was another accident at a Chicago show if I heard correctly. Looks like a lot of people are expecting more gun control than they can bear. Incidentally, I saw a bumper sticker last night that said "Only the government and criminals want your guns" Enough said.

Maybe we should start taking Hunter to all of the gun shows with us. He could strip down, everybody would leave, and we could have the place to ourselves
