If they win, I'll know why! Disappointed that noone will stand up and fight. Over 50 views and noone at WSF even commented on the effort of a company I respect that is trying to offer assistance. Noone even said why they didn't or comment on the post. I have to reflect on why I even bothered to post this here.

CS if they win it will not be because no one answered this form. Most of us have already contacted our reps.

Personally, I do not trust Ruger on Gun Control. They have caved on several occasions when their profit margin was involved.

This form looks nice but is very ambiguously worded and supports more unspecified intrusion into buyers records. Are we willing to give up the 4th ammendment protections to approve more restrictions to the 2nd?

The government already has access to complete criminal history of every person in the nation, do they also want a FICA score and a note from Mother?

I agree with kyrat, Ruger has a history of screwing the rest of the gun industry in order to save their own skin.

Explain that history if you will?

    So let me understand....

You equate fighting for the 2nd Amendment to responding to your post on an internet forum? Sorry - I was too busy contacting my (and other) elected officials AGAIN.

I would not be so quick to jump to conclusions if I were you. That link you posted was followed through on the first day Ruger posted it by myself and my group. We have also been out and about collecting hand written signatures for a petition rather than electronic ones on a block form letter. Further, one of our members is currently in a Criminal Justice Doctorate program. Unlike most other PhD programs where you can get graduate/teaching assistantships, tuition waivers, grants, scholarships etc We have had to support him 100 percent. A conservative trying to get that kind of funding and especially when their dissertation is being written on constitutional law from a conservative perspective is difficult at best among liberal institutes. Especially so when that dissertation takes a positive view on gun rights. The research is being supported by us, and along they way, key points being forwarded in 'hand written' letters, to our representatives, along with a trip to District offices, and DC for a face to face.

As my Grandpa put it to me, off your A** and on your feet it's time to go knocking on doors. We are working it from every angle possible, do not be so quick to judge.

Our Gov's budget proposal comes out today. According to her State of the State address, money will be there to help school districts to re-establish resource officers in our schools. We had them, but they were cut during the crunch.
I was surprised to find out that 1/3 of our schools are already hardened, but there can be some money for schools that need to get started.
Some money to address folks who may be danger to self or others is also proposed; I personally don't think this will do much until we change a few laws..
The folks that I am eligible to vote for are aleady on-board; I don't need to preach to the choir.
I do very much appreciate Ruger's initiative, and that of CS.

No, I thought the form Ruger provides and ease of filling it out was a good way to get more letters out there. If I had to show my butt, to get the post attention that resulted in more letters, so be it.

Stuff like (internet generated form letters) this just makes me a little nervous, I prefer to do my contacting on a more personnel level, as Crash says "again".
To infer that the is no interest because of not wanting to necessarily add my internet information to the data base, is just a wrong assumption.

I obviously know better than that. I got a little over board with what I said. My apologies to those I may have offended. Thanks for your comment Hunter.
