    When I was one the Queen Charlotte Islands some years ago, I watched a child excitedly pointing at a couple of eagles sitting in a tree, going "Mom, mom, look at the eagles!!" Mom wasn't impressed though and kept pulling the kid down the street.
    I lived on Vancouver Island for a while and eagles had a nest just outside the backyard. At first I was like "oh wow, that is totally cool", and so it was in many ways. However, their highpitched cackling at dawn always seemed to go on for hours and I was not too fond of that. They are gorgeous birds but I wish they had prettier voices

    Try some garlic and red pepper. They make anything taste better.
