Making a Pulk

Well If I did more backpacking in winter I always wanted to know how to make one - turns out these folks found a cheaper source and it looks professional enough... thoughts?

I had a great little sled, just like the one in the Wiki picture until my grandchildren found it. Now, Paw Paw can't find another one like it, so this gives me an idea to go get one of those concrete mixing tubs at Home Depot. Wonder if the kids would trade the original for two new ones? LOL

Hello Wise Old Owl!

To be honest that pulk in picture works probably fine only until you get into deeper snow and it gets heavy to pull because you can't make wide enough path for it to follow. Traditional Scandinavian pulk is called also 'Ahkio' and it is much thinner, so you can pull it much better even in deep snow solo with skis or snow shoes. If you are travelling in group then it is even more easier!
