That Forbes, the Economist, the Wall Street Journal, the National Post, Business Weekly are all still not covering wilderness survival. (I know...shocking, unbelievable! where are their heads at?) Maybe we should focus on covering that and let them focus on things like how to do your tax returns or what funds to buy into or when to dump stocks or what the hell ever
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

I think if the **** hits the fan the way everyone's been whining about here I'd rather have a knife than a gold brick or a mutual fund. What knife isn't a survival knife?

true. but what about when you want a new boat? Camper? Fishing rod? Flint? W/E then i bet most of us would rather have a massive chest full of gold bricks.

there are two types of wild food enthusiasts,
one picks for enjoyment of adding something to a meal,
and the second is the person who lives mostly on ( wild ) edibles

Yeah thanks Rick, you hit the point with some and miss with others, I suppose.

What if I want a new boat or fishing rod? Then I'm not too worried about TSHTF am I ned?

Well I suppose my post was some contraversial but I stand by it. A knife will do more don't get me wrong but i'm not exactly prepared to start living off the grid. I live in a small town and am prepared to hunt and fish for my life but for now i am living a modern life. and i'm happy with that.

Oh, yea. Paranoia. It starred Larry Drake and Brigette Bako. Released in 1997. But I don't think it was about disappearing money.
