Not the cheapest, but it does look like a good bag, close to what you are looking for.

We're both sorta like that; her more than me, because she's a bit claustrophobic. Unless its really cold, we don't even have to use the zipper(s).

In fact, I'm beginning to consider including a cot sheet for each of us. That way we can protect ourselves from direct contact with the mattresses, and use our unzipped sleeping bags as top cover. I've done this before, and it worked well.

This train of thought resurfaces the idea of using blankets rather than sleeping bags...

[Do y'all see why I'm beginning to think/prepare for this particular issue NOW...?]

I'm not sure if this is a helpful suggestion, but here goes! If you have any flexibility with regards to weight then Wiggy's bags will serve you well. I have three and just ordered a fourth that serves as an overbag for my Superlight in Digicam. Their rectangular bags all mate together, are very warm and are warrantied for life against loss of loft. They're also machine washable. A few guys over the years have said their bags did lose loft after five years but even those guys admitted that Wiggy replaced them at no cost. I've used my oldest for years with no problems at all. One last thing- they're made in the USA!
