    Default Animals smarter than humans...again

The Yukon wildlife officials have been up to some pretty amusing stuff lately. First, a herd of introduced elk (non-native to the Yukon) have been found to be severely infested with ticks. These ticks, if they spread to moose (native to the Yukon), cause serious hairloss - oh hey, you bald guys out there, maybe that's why...never mind. So plan a was to feed the elk corn (non-native to the Yukon) treated with anti-tick medicine. Now imagine, those elk didn't eat the corn since of course it's not part of what they forage for up here. Plan b was to herd the elk by helicopter into an enclosure and treat them with the medicine there. They did get 80% of the ehrd, but the rest are still out there with their ticks.
Second thing, bison were re-introduced to the Yukon (used to be a native species at some point, but very long ago). The officials deemed a population of 500 bison the ideal number. Nasty bisons didn't listen to the bureaucrats and pro-created, so now there's about 1,200 of them. There's a lottert hunt on them but the bison keep outsmarting the hunters and just the odd one gets taken (hmmm, could it have something to do with the hunters approaching by snomobile through the silent winter forest?). The wolves, who are blamed by some peole for spposedly munching too many moose, are now also blamed for not eating enough bison. Sheesh. Can't win as a wolf. Either way, people are even dumber.

problem with ticks on moose is that they scratch against the trees to get off the ticks causing hair loss witch in turn causes loos of body heat which in turn can lead to freezing to death which in turn can lead to to many predators which in turn can lead to and unbalanced eco system which in turn can lead me to typing which in turn to many times which in turn can lead to

We need a moose school to train the Moose to eat the Bison. See you can post anything no matter how stupid. I herd that there are 80,000 "GANG MEMBERS is L.A. what if you used them to feed the hungry wolves. This is fun, not helpful but this is a form, and I am entitled to you opinion. I wonder if my poodle is entitled to his opinion, maybe only on a poodle form. Hope this is helpful.

There is no greater solitude than that of the Tracker in the forest, unless perhaps it's that of the wolf in the wilderness.

Need some help, running it? Well not running it, but the day to day workings, and Alaska has two girzzly bear cubs they need a home for right now.

...got so carried away with my little rant that I forgot to write the other amusing thing about the bison: so to help the hunters find the bison, the Yukon officials are now doing regular air surveys. Then they post the info of where the herd is, so Joe Blow on his skidoo is able to find his lottery bison.
Maybe they could airdrop the stupid wolves on the bison so they finally eat what the officials want them to?!

See what happens? Up in the Yukon the bureaucrats don't have enough people to pick on so the gov't is turning the bureaucrats loose on the animals. The poor wildlife doesn't have a chance.....
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

    According to these guys, http://www.northernontario.org/Envir...ildAtHeart.htm
the site is http://www.wildatheartrefuge.com, but that domain isn't registered. Might want to have them update your page.
