    /thread drift

I was making reference to huffing paint fumes, since I get that impression from reading your posts. It seems you don't have a clue as to what you're talking about, whether it be about drug dealers, fighting, combat, or numerous other topics I've seen you post on.

"and 80mg of fluxotene a day"...."if your calling me a pothead , iv never been high in my life either."

Mind/mood altering chemicals are mind/mood altering chemicals, whether their prescribed or not. I know plenty of pill heads who have a perscription for zanex. I know plenty who get quad bars in the street. Same high, same effect.

I am a combat soldier, so I think, at least from my perspective and experience, that the generalization you made is totally inaccurate.

Oh, and * you too. I don't need evidence to insult you or contradict you. The truth does the latter, and your posts do the former.

I'm not trying to start a flame war with you, I was just offering my opinion.

"most combat solders don't care enough to say anything that could get people angry at them"

Looks like I did. Whoopsie. If you'd like to carry this further maybe we should move it to pm's and not get into a p*ssing contest here.

I'm a combat vet, or so the army says, I say that pizz people off all the time has nothing to do with combat. I care about a lot of things but alot of things I don't let bother me, Alpine lets not forget he's young, he'll learn as he grows.

by combat vet i mean 20+ kills from within 10 yards. NOT someone who fired there M16 empty at buildings a few times. and i understood the paint fumes comment thats why i said 'pothead' a pothead is someone who gets high by any and all means. there are no combat vets (not the type im talking about) in the army in this day and age. its all air strikes and sniper fire (i have 3 friends in the USMC and that is what they tell me.) And as for my fluxotene... Fluoxetine is a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor, which means that it has no (THC , DMT, MAOI , Opiate , or Amphetamine) like qualities. Beowulf is a cop ask his whether prozac can get you high or not if you dont believe me.

This is all kind of fun to watch - kind of like a train wreck, but pm's may be a better place to handle your differences. If I'm wrong, sorry, and have at it.

I may not have 20+ combat kills or maybe I do, never fired blindly at anything until my clip was empty (and by the way its a magazine not a clip) and I'm sure there are guys in the army or marines that have been in real bad combat in Iraq, but for me that's good since I was in the 101st LRSD and 101st LRSD stands for 101st Long Range Surveillance Detachment, yeah 8 men behind the enemy lines scouting out the enemy, lasing targets and etc. Saw some action not a ton didn't wana, and if I can call in an air strike and get done why not. To tell someone that combat vet means 20+ kills is wrong, just shows your age though.

Marcraft - If you are on prescription meds of any type and they have been prescribed by a doctor then there is nothing you need to defend. Take them as prescribed and don't let other's thoughts or words bother you.

The real issue here is one of age and experience. You lack both of those. That's not your fault. It's just a reality. However, it does show itself in many, if not most, of your posts. And it's easy for other to take offense when they see it so often. Death and destruction are not frivolous subjects but you seem to treat them in that manner. That's what raises most folks dander.

As for a combat veteran, I'm reminded of a conversation Gen. Norman Schwartzkopf (R) had with a reporter. You see, the general had served in Viet Nam and during one of his tours a member of his platoon walked into a mine field and stepped on a mine. Then Sgt. Schwartzkopf went into the mine field and brought his man out. As it turned out, that was the only mine that had been set but no one knew that at the time. The reporter down played the situation to the general with the comment that it was "only one mine". That simple comment spoke volumes about that reporter's ignorance and lack of experience. (ignorance means uneducated not stupid). Anyone that has had the opportunity to be killed in any fashion by an enemy is a combat veteran to me. I value the truck driver, the mechanic, the cook and company clerk as highly as the infantry soldier. Each plays an integral role in their unit and each stands a chance of being injured or killed. It's a respect they have duly earned in my eyes.

Ive never had the opportunity to have been in the Armed Forces but one thing for sure, I salute you men and women that serve or have served our countries.

When I was in Columbus a couple weeks ago for the UFC fight, the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic was going on the same weekend. My flight got in early so I went down stairs to the pub in the Hyatt and there were five US marines sitting at the bar having a drink. I pulled up a stool and soon we struck up a conversation. They had all just got back from Iraq and were volunteering at the US Marine booth set up at the Schwarzenegger venue. I wont get into details but I sat there completely numb with my jaw dropped to the bartop. Two of the young men were without limbs or in a wheel chair. They told me stories of what they had been involved in or what they had witnessed that I will never forget......ever. They never once bragged how many kills they had or how much pain they indured, I just knew. Anyone of these soilders I would have been proud to have as my son. True testimonies of real hero's.

Not one of my new friends had to buy a single drink that evening and were all invited to the homestead so I can show them the sites.

You guys dont have to prove anything

Blood pudding jells up to a solid and all that really is is blood.
Eskamos of Alaska traditionally "eat" the entire animal, raw, to include the blood.
In an Army survival course I took eons age, we had only 1 dead uncooked rabbit to eat blood, gust, and all.

Marcraft, don't leave. I have just learned you can lie, deceive, mislead, and con people in this form and it does not matter. just don't call anyone a bad name. I have seen the light, it is more fun to snooker the people who come here for help. I know nothing about primitive stuff but I ain't about to let that slow me down. Marcraft: look at it this way, Governments lie, corporate CEO's lie, church leaders lie. the Governor of N.Y. cheats. Just make up some stuff and post it.
