    Default Using your head.

I almost posted this in the cooking section, but I really mean this as an example of using what you have to work with, or another way to skin a cat. At about 2:30, Alton starts to cook this steak. Check out how he does it. LOL

I can say that I would enjoy this method........to date my favorite is a 1' thick steak w/salt pepper and slathered with butter, set out for a while,..... then seared on a super hot hibachi...for a couple about a min and a half per side....Then on the plate.....rare!

The reason they call them steak knives is to steak it down to the plate....so it can't crawl off.

The covered gas grill, the basiclly 'bakes" the steak is a waste of good meat.

That's pretty cool. I'd never have thought of that, which is probably why he's making zillions and I'm typing on this forum.

Alton Brown is awesome, I'm a huge fan of the show Good Eats. I actually have all the books and a couple of DVD's of stuff that's not in the books. What's great about his show is he also tells you some of the science and history of whatever he's doing.
