Mrs. Crash and I have porridge most days (steel cut oatmeal) with walnuts, wild blueberry, and cinnamon.....yum. Our winter has been milder than most. We've got a cold front moving in tonight though......looking forward to it.
The arctic moved south overnight. In for a frigid week-end. About the same as your temps. Porridge woman! Fetch me my porridge!

I am sure your girls would like some leggings and scarves these days. Probably has frozen their egg tract at the moment. Might need to put a lightbulb in their house to keep them a little warmer. Our winter has been mild but have been having colder weather this week and supposed to get darn chilly this weekend. My doggie and I are curled up in our blankies staying warm.
Yeah, cruel joke came home from 70's in La. Wed to cold and snow......(only second shovel-able snow this year).....stay warm.

My young neighbor was lying on the snow, standing on his head in a hole turning off his water main this morning. That can mean only one thing. Soon afterward he got in his car and left. Temp was 19 and wind at 20mph for a wind chill around zero. I did not even have to go out and see what his problem was. Logic says his water lines were frozen.
This is our first real blast of winter this year. It has been a very pleasant winter so far. I have missed few of my daily walks.

I still have snow too, there was a top-up the other day. While it was still light, it was most odd looking at the trees, from gound level to about 8ft there was no frost, from there up the trees were white. Luckily, the water mains are buried nice and deep, so no frozen pipes. Bobcat is generously letting me share the sofa and blankie.
