Name is Mike and am married to a great women and we have a 5 yr old girl. I am not to happy with my life here as we are struggling with money and i want something simpler! Anyone know anything about homesteading anywhere, and if it is possible to to do in Alaska!

How do you plan to make money homesteading some place else? You'll still need money to build a home and pay for staples. There are only two ways to control money, increase your income or control your expenses or both. If you are wanting to homestead solely because of your money problems that's the wrong reason to do it.

There is very, very little private land in Alaska, Which makes private land very expensive. Nearly all of Alaska is owned by some Government entity like BLM, or a Native Corporation.
