The rules change when you shoot an unarmed teen. Yeah, I know the arguments but they just do. I wish him well but fear he may wind up facing charges. This will be a good one to follow. I might have done the same thing in his shoes, by the way.

It seems to me if he didn't do something the teen thugs may have ended up with the weapon.
And used it on him,and possibly other victims.

As I said, I know the arguments but the rules are you can not meet force with greater force. Add the fact these thugs were under age just complicates the issue.

I did read that last month. I'd say that Bernie Goetz would not have been so fortunate in Today's NYC.

The local news channel reports that he was held for questioning and then the District Attorney ordered his release without charge. So maybe the good guy does win this round

That is good news. Some District Attorneys could have gone differently but I'd believe my life in jeopardy in the same circumstances.
