From the image that's permanently, I fear, burned into my frontal cortex- You had two feet on the steps and a hand on the hand rail- maintaining three points of contact as you climbed. I think. Good use of saftey. I think. I'm not going back to look.

    Happy?

The other party hasn't posted their side of the story. I never take the word of just one side over the other. That's not fair to both parties involved.

BTW, why am I the only guy who thinks Rick looks hot in that pic?

Well, best of luck to you whatever happens. If life gives you a second chance with her, then at least consider what I said. As cheesy as it sounds, the old "if you something set it free..." is true. It takes a lot of courage to do that, to just let it go and not pursue. But often pursuit will just cause her to run faster. Men and women are supposed to support and complement each other, not become crutches. It's understandable to feel like you can't live without her, but if that's true what do you bring to the table for her? I haven't walked a mile in your shoes and I don't know the whole story but it sounds like you allowed yourself to lose yourself in her, allowed yourself to diminish at the expense of your relationship. And man, it's easy to do. You hang with the GF so much that you neglect your friends; after the 20th time of asking if you want to go have a brew or catch a game, they get tired you saying "no" and they quit asking. You and your GF's lives can start to merge until you don't know where yours ends and hers begins.

Believe me, brother, I been there & done that. It sounds like you won't find love until you find yourself.

I wish you luck. Maybe she'll give you a chance, maybe not. But you're gonna be alright.

Life is tough. I wish it weren't but it is. There are many on here that have gone through divorce. Some a couple of times. Many with kids involved. It doesn't get much harder than that. As difficult as it might be at the moment be thankful for the fact that you are finding out now before you invest a lot of yourself and time in the relationship and there are no kids involved.

When you get dressed this morning put on your good face, brush off your shoulders and face live square on. Tell her it was a swell time but the right gal is out there for you and go find her.

HA...without knowing the whole story, I can only offer this at the risk of psycho-babbling.
As much as it's nice to have other people in our lives and partners with whom to share the good and the bad, our happiness shouldn't be dependent on them to such an extent that it shakes our core when they're not around anymore. That's giving them too much power. And it doesn't make us particularly strong in their eyes while it leaves us wide open to disappointment.
People will come and go but we've got to live with ourselves til the day we die. If our mind body and soul are solid (our elementary preps) we'll be able to withstand any blows that come our way without being crippled by them. That's the kind of people we want to be around, that's the kind of people others want to be around. Be that kind of person. Work on it as hard as you worked on anything in your life. Everything else will come.

HA, The reason you asked for prayers does not matter as much as the fact that you asked for prayers, and I don't judge, nor begrudge a persons need for prayers.

    Prayers for you brother.

    Cool Well...

I have prayed for your healing, but not for your reconciliation with the lady as I have not heard her side of things and to take one side over the other is simply not fair. Also you two would then have to be legally wed; God does not bless an illicit relationship, just my opinion.

I'd change it for him, but he'd probably turn me into a newt.
