Remember to keep track of that password for the router. Next thing you know you'll be setting up an iPod, an iPad, audio, a Nintendo Wii, an Xbox and game controllers and you'll need that password to configure them. Who'd a thunk ole Cowboy would go so high tec on us?

It is password protected. It has an indicated it is secure. As far as Cowboy going hi tech, well, I have shielded her from the digital world in my estimation long enough. I don't want her to fall behind like Dad did. The ole lady is worried about me allowing her to talk to 'strangers' here. I have assured her that if any funny business occured my friends here the f.a.r.t.s. would be quick to resolve it. I can hear (Rick) now "What we have here is an I-D-10-T problem", (word has it he has a brand new BAN button) I bet he is ready to give the contraption a try.
Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...

But sometimes the survival situations could be "better" when hi tech is available. I just watched Ed Stafford's "Walking the Amazon" journey and realised how important could be a little bit of kit. I like the modern explorers like Ed Stafford, Mark Kalch too.

I agree, I'd much rather have a Bic lighter to light a fire than 2 sticks.

To stick to the hi tech topic I had a GPS for driving in my country. It was very comfortable but lead me to wrong way several times.
Since I use my road maps I get lost rarely. The GPS is just a confirmation for choosing my directions.
Unfortunately it is not true when I drive abroad. I got lost in Austria last summer.

All I have is a Garmin Etrek, I use it to track where I have been but never used it to plot where I am going. Thing has 2 buttons that do 100's of functions never really learned to use it.

Or the mall. I just go to the sign that says, "You are Here." That way when my wife tries to find me she'll know where to look.
