Default Always seeing the same animal species

Have you guys noticed this too? It seems that at times, you always see the same kind of animals.
In my case, last years it was a crazy number of moose, before that an onslaught of bears, right now it's wolverines. It's not that when this happens, there are no other animal species around, their tracks are there, but somehow they don't show themselves. It seems to be almost some sort of weird "viewing or encounter cycle".
    Any theories?

    Default Oh thank God

Here I thought it was just me and that Nora the Squirrel was stalking me.
Serioiusly though, it probably does have to do with a combination of season, area that you're seeing them in (more otters in the water, more wolverines in the trees) and breeding cycles.

I'm still pretty suspicious of Nora....she's sitting on the windowsill right now, watching me type. Beady little squirrel eyes.... I know she's up to something.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

I noticed this as well,it used to be the deer, but now,it's the neighbors damn horses,he just lets them roam the area, does not even try to keep them penned up any more, almost hit one on my way to work the other morning.

It would be bad for my truck to hit a deer I'm sure, but to hit a horse?? the truck would be toast

Not that way here, on any given day I can see Mountain Goats from 5 to 35, and Caribou 20 to 45 on the upper hillside. One or two moose are in the yard most days.

In the summer the Black and Grizzly/Brown Bears are everywhere. I see fewer Lynx than any other animal, maybe one a year.

Maybe the animals are looking at you.
Animal No.1: Look at that dumb azz human over there staring at us.
Animal No.2: Yeah, I hate that, creepys two legged freaks.
Animal No.1: Yeah but they got nice caves.
Animal No.2: Oh crap he's got that stick that makes thunder and lightening again.
Animal No.1: Yeah your dead meat cause I'm faster than you.

I think it's the seasons. The neighbors kid has been out more that it's a bit warmer. And the idiot down the street was out walking yesterday. The crazy guy next door is staring in the window right now. Beady little brown eyes......

I keep seeing the same dog several times a day. Treats and letting him out in the yard does not stop this and the early morning tongue in the ear, has become a wake up call!

I just hope he leave the Bacon alone.

Here we have seasons for bugs, birds and bats. You see one every day for a time and then they are gone and the next shows up. I watch for the bee's and wasps to show up. This is the time of year, I plant my beans.
