I have a family disaster plan similar to Rick's. Each family member has a copy of it. It is updated on a regular basis. We rate the most likely scenario as well. This last summer drought, forest fires and heat related issues topped our list. This summer I am forecasting that drought, gas shortages, water shortages, forest fires and power outages to be at the top of our list. I have to consider these when we go on weekend hikes also.
I prepare more for natural disasters then I would for man made. I guess because I have been in/or evacuated from several hurricanes, tornado's, ice storms, snow storms, blackouts, floods and forest fires. I mainly prepare for wilderness survival because I am always hiking or geocaching.
