It's like Christmas ain't it?! I did that with the covers to one set of binoculars. I lost the darn things and then found them in the pocket of a jacket a year later. A true Woo Hoo! moment.

When I was 12, I bought my first SAK. Then, somehow I lost it. Probably a year later I was digging in the garden and found it buried. A little oil, and it was as good as the day I lost it.

Seems that some clown mistook them for balloons.

That's...uh....the Solanum virus from Mars. I would keep my distance if I were you and call the government. They are after all here to help.

Driving down the road........saw one sock beat into the blacktop.......Then It hit me.......That's what happened!

Then I became sad, as the poor little thing had worked so hard to excape....And splat!

I know what you mean though, I lost the knife off my Gerber Touche belt buckle, had worn and used it for years.......felt that empty feeling.
Found it 3-4 week later, in the deep grass, in the brush.....what are the chances.......?
Good deal, I'm happy for you.

During my last move I lost my Cold Steel SRK in Carbon V. It really ticked me off as my dad gave it to me 15-20 years ago and they don't make that steel any more. Then about a year ago I found it in a box I was sure I'd already looked thru. Like X-mas, indeed!

Sad thing is when this happens to me, others don't share in my excitement when I run out and tell them about the awesome thing I found in a mystery box under my bed....

Usually When A Man Comes Up To Me Yelling Wielding A Knife Its Not Excitement In The Find That I Have

lol, I was refering to a wide spectrum of things from that feild and stream magazine I had been looking for, or some neat rocks I had stashed away and forgot about... A while back I thought I had lost one of my favorite knives in the woods in the winter, found it next winter in my cover-all pocket. It is always a good feeling when you find something like that, like when you put on that pair of jeans you haven't worn in a month and find a twenty in the pocket.

I put on a pair of jeans once and found a bunch of money and a wallet and some keys. Turns out they weren't my jeans. Who knew?

The DW lost her diamond engagement ring. I dropped my keys getting out of the truck and there was her ring.

Usually If I Leave Money In The Pocket Of A Pair Of Jeans It Gets Spread Around The Washer In Little Pieces. But! If I Leave A Pack Of Gum In There, It Doesn't Come Out Till The Dryer And Then It Adheres To The Inside Like Concrete.
