Scrub the bottom with sand to shine it, and use it to light a fire.

Use the can to resupply when out in the woods.

Tie cordage to a branch's that crosses above a trail. At just under eye level, tie a can full of gravel. Add cordage as needed here so you can pull the can back and up well above normal sight. Set trip wire so when you trip it. The can will swing freely into the path.

Wait for a hiker to pass you going in the direction of your can. When he gets to the right spot. Yell "hey you" as loud as you can and and pull the trip wire. He will stop to look back. The next clunk you hear will be the can reaching the spot he has stopped. Now if he is knocked out you can go threw his stuff and get resupplied. If he is only hurt, you will need to take something and put him in a state of sleep, before you rummage threw his gear and get resupplied. The can works better then a chunk of wood because it will not(we can only hope) kill the guy. It has some give. Don't forget to go threw his pockets. Take his vest, shirt, pants and shoes. You an use these for barter later on.

I know! I know! Remove this before I give some dumb kid ideas! Trax you and Rick should not try this! It is ment as a Joke!

and it really works! So don't do a practice run because you'll wind up with a black eye or a badly bruised noggin....or so I've heard
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

I went out and did a practice run this morning. The can gave me a black eye AND a bruised noggin.

i'm telling you rick, if you go taking that kind of guff from inanimate objects, soon the elephants, squirrels and squid will start getting ideas. you ever been hit by a flying squid at 50mph? we have to nip these kinds of problems in the bud.

Yep, attack of the killer squids (and their buddies) that's my biggest fear, especially with it being almost impossible to get any further away from any ocean than where I am right now. I know those squids are lurking out there somewhere. (I just wrote that last bit cuz I like the word lurking, heheheheh)
