Default Odd happening today.....( que weird music)

Last winter while on our trip south, I had to stop the truck as one of the dogs had an 'accident" while on the road in southern Illinois.

Pulled over in a boat landing off I-57, cleaned up the mess, and was about to leave looked down and saw a Ford truck key with a boat key on the ring.

I picked it up, put it in my pocket of my hooded sweatshirt and pretty much forgot about it.

Well, today, it was kinda nice out, so this morning I put on the sweat shirt, to do some gardening....and after a while found the keys in the pocket,.... again.

As it had a key fob with the name and number of a body shop on it....I called the number, told the lady that I had found these keys....She got excited and hollered out to some one in the shop..."Hey this guy on the phone found your boat keys!"

She is sending me a pre-paid shipping envelope, I was just gonna mail them anyway.

I guess thay just hung around in my pocket, talking to me till did did something with them.......
    Just weird, Huh? LOL

Back when I was just a kid, I had a ID bracelet, lost it in the Gulf while swimming, a year later someone found it and returned it to my father, who was pretty well known in town. It was apprecitated, even if it wasn't any good.

H63 you are a nice man. I would be proud to shake your hand. It might have been weird but somebody really needed those keys and see they chatted to you at the right time. I always enjoy your posts.

A good deed that all started with dog patch. You just never know where something good will come from.
    Well played H.

    Thanks guy/gals....
Well, it seems that I do come across stuff from time to time, and I know the feeling of loss in the pit of my stomach when I lose something....so I just figure it my duty.

As far a boat keys went, I had just went thru the "Duck hunting in a day or so, can't find my boat key", or was located in the other truck, 200 miles away...

I did get the number off the key from DW, (had to call her, hate that, as she gives me a sorta bad time about this kind of stuff)... so went to the boat store and had one made..........When you get older and forgetful....You better be resourceful...LOL

It's too bad that I never found the owner of a Zippo I found years ago, had a SS number on it but I really didn't know how to handle it as there wasn't any way to look it up back then.
I did write a letter to Zippo, and send it in.......Never heard from anyone?????
