    Default The Army Life

Well my leave is over and I reported to my new unit today. While simultaneously in-processing the Brigade I was handed my deployment orders. Looks as though Iraq is missing me and I will back there by August. Being I just returned from round two last August the Army is pretty good at planning out that 12 months of dwell time. They could have at least gave me a change of scenery, like Afghanistan or something. So goes the Army Life...

I am sorry to hear that and only hope that things have improved there considerably since the last time you served. Wish you the best of luck!

I don't care how you write, that's just wrong. I'm sorry you're being deployed again. It's tough on you and on the family.

Be. Careful. Calmer or not, it's still pretty crappy over there. Take care and check in with us when you have some time!

Thanks everyone. I still have some time here and hope to get to enjoy my new garden first.

Take care of yourself, we'll all miss you. And don't forget to write!
Oh and you don't want to go to Afghanistan. My friend "holidayed" there. The hotel was deplorable, the beaches are terrible, the locals revolting and you have to drive everywhere!

It appears you're at Bliss. If so, how do you tell the difference between that area and in-theater?

The last time I was at Bliss, it felt so much like Iraq. It was creepy. Well, northern Iraq.

Good luck and come back in one piece, without any holes in the piece.

Thanks for your continued service Sarn't.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

Thanks again everyone. It does remind me of Iraq here, especially the sand storms.
