Retired AF generals target Westboro lawyers

"TOPEKA, Kan. — Nine retired U.S. Air Force generals want Kansas regulators to disbar 10 lawyers who belong to a Topeka church that protests at military funerals around the country.

A complaint filed with the Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys asserts four broad violations of the state’s professional conduct rules by lawyers who belong to Westboro Baptist Church.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that most of the 10 lawyers are children of the church’s leader, the Rev. Fred Phelps. Church members have been picketing military funerals for years, claiming the deaths of service members are God’s punishment for the nation’s tolerance of homosexuality.

One of the named attorneys, Shirley Phelps-Roper, told the newspaper Monday she considers the complaint ludicrous and an attack on church members’ freedoms of speech and religion."

I won't post a picture of it here because of it's vile nature, but based on the signs they sport, I don't think they'd learn to enjoy it. But thinking about it - an even better fate would be for one of Mr. Phelps sons to "come out of the closet".

20 years forced service with the very troops they hate so much. Perhaps they could learn what it is to be an American Soldier. However, their duties as a soldier would consist of Latrine Duty only, as that is the only work they are fit for.
