EZ Bake Oven ban.....Well maybe just the bulb?

Been hearing about congress banning incandescent bulbs, 100 watt bulb the heart of the EZ Bake Oven......OMG is nothing sacred.

Now if you are like me.... I learned to bake in an EZ bake over(wink, wink), I find this outrageous.
Seriously, I am gonna stock up on "Pre-ban bulbs".

Hunter... from what I've heard by 2012 congress intends to totally ban all incadecent bulbs. I agree on stocking up. I've been to several "going out of business" auctions and have bought every single one I can. I think as of last count I have around 2,500 bulbs in 60,75,90, and 100 watts.

The law has already passed. The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (cute title that makes it seem innocuous) was passed with the promise of saving the planet and creating jobs. Well, neither is true IMO. A few years ago, one of the sponsors of The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 was asked about the ban on incandescent bulbs. The senior Senator from Arizona's response??? That's not in there. Sadly it is. Light bulb manufacturing plants have already been shut down. But wait - GE will surely just re-tool and start producing CFL's right? Nope. Opening a plant in Mexico. When asked about incandescents, the CEO of GE responded (going from memory here) --- the profits from CFL's are so high, that we'll never go back to making incandescents.

You bet stock up, look what happened to our showers.... 2.5 gal a minute.....a man cannot even take a decent shower now a days.....

Gopher Pie

1 Gopher, skinned and cleaned
1/4 cup onion
1/4 cup green pepper
1/2 tbsp minced parsley
1 tbsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 1/2 tbsp. flour
3 cups broth

Cut Gopher into 2 or 3 pieces. Boil for 1 hour. Remove meat from bones in large pieces. Add onion, green pepper, parsley, salt, pepper, and flour to the broth and stir until it thickens. If the broth does not measure 3 cups, add water. Add the meat to the broth mixture and stir thoroughly. Pour into baking dish. Roll only enough to make it fit the dish. Place dough on top of meat, put in a hot oven (400 degrees F.) and bake 30 to 40 minutes or until dough is browned. Serves 6-8.

Not all incandescent light bulbs will be banned. In fact, most won't. Only those we use the most. Three-way, for example, will still be available.

Hey, OH, if you take that little diverter out of the shower head then you have a regular shower head. But you didn't hear it from me.

Even better, CFLs are bad for the environment. Instead of some glass metal and wire, now you get all the stuff associated with florescent tubes... Turn em in at reclaimation centers.
