I just deleted some of my pm's, and while I was there, I started seeing this...

Warning: fetch_template() calls should be replaced by the vB_Template class. Template name: welcome_headers in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 4055
..across the top of the page. (Kinda like it was an overlay.)

The avatars are huge but Quality was lost. Perhaps we will need to reload our avatars?

It's gone, now. Maybe it was just a fluke.

I tried uploading a new avatar...nope, it wouldn't save changes.

Why would you want to change your avatar? I like the one you've got!

Yeah, I figure I'll keep it and the powers that be won't be able to not notice it is blurry!

Avatars have file size limits. In addition to dimensional limits.

You may need to save them in a different file format, or otherwise optimize their size, to fit a large one in.

This is done so that pages don't load too slowly with all the larger image files (a single avatar can take as long to load as all the actual text content on the page).

    I think it is 40 or 45kb.

    Thanks Chris,

I think it was the file size, I was trying to upload, still though even yours is blurry.

I think your location should be "mind in the swamp". Doesn't look blurry to me although I didn't have to blink my eyes a couple of times.

YES! Much better now!! However I have to agree some of the avatars do look somewhat blurry, or have lost some picture quality due to the enlargement. Chris' is blurry around the edges, so is Rick's, and 2D2K's seem to have lost some clarity as well.

It is of no use Poco.... I guess it just happens with age, looks the same as before to certain administrators....

The blurriness on mine is your mind playing tricks on you.

Avatars should not be stretched to 200x200 if the native image is smaller. I personally have not changed my image size, so it is still small, and the exact same as it has always been.

Still there seems to be a "Halo" of white around the hat that I don't recall being there before.... OTOH I am able to use some really neat avatars now that I couldn't before, due to loss of Detail. So THANKS Chris! I may play some more with my avatars though just to see what the limits are with the ones I have. For Instance the Avatar I am now using there was not enough detail(Shown) to use it.
