i try not to get my hopes up too often, but i've read the whole series [that's 78 issues, for those who are counting] and by ep 02 of the series they have lost me.

    1. zombies using rocks as tools to break a window

    2. zombies climbing a fence.

these things both seriously compromise the story line. if they're going to change it to much; at least make sure it's still good.

i know; i get a bit too into my zombie stuff, but come on; there's a serious dearth of good entertainment on the tube these days.

Does anyone know how much time elapsed between the main character getting shot and when he woke up. I'm asking because it didn't seem too long and his "best friend" moved in on his wife.

i don't remember exactly, but it was a couple of weeks. in the context of the show: about as long as it took him to grow that bit of a beard he woke up with.

as for his friend: keep watching. they've diverged a bit from the comic already, but i bet they do a good job of explaining it in the next episode or two.

i don't know why the guy didn't just cut the bar. maybe it was just the sense of hurry?

if you have to resort to amputation for some reason to escape handcuffs, i'd hope you would think to go for just the thumb.

Wait, Wait! ...... Now that it was mentioned, the zombies could climb a fence but not the ladder to the roof???

    yet; plot holes abound.

doesn't keep me from enjoying the heck out of it, but they are not honoring the original story like i'd hoped. i guess they never do.

You guys are such goofs. Don't you know it's monkey see monkey do with zombies? If that first zombie has a problem climbing a ladder, let's say something easy like no arms, then no other self respecting zombie would even try. I think it's part of the zombie code or something. Thou shalt not show up another zombie sort of thing. Don't quote me on that.

Color me confused but there was just a whole lot of things a fellah could do besides whack off a hand.

A couple of hits with that hacksaw and a good tug and you're good to go. Unless having that handcuff dangle off your wrist is just too annoying.

i think he blamed the hand for his situation and just couldn't live with it anymore.

Maybe it was camouflage so he could get out of Atlanta. I know I'd cut off my hand to get out of Atlanta.

You've never lived in a big city, have you? During rush hour, they are all zombies.

Except the cab drivers. They were taught to drive at Tojo's School of Kamikaze.

I've got far too many cops in my life. LOL! Handcuffs are made of "hardened steel". A hack saw wouldn't cut through them. Trying to would break the blade. He did the only thing he could do. Don't know if I could have though...

While the handcuffs are hardened, the mild steel pipe clamp they were attached to are not......but where's the drama in cutting through a cheap bolt?

There is a drama to this whole series but I will still watch the episode tonight. I want to see what happens to the guy who cut his hand off. As for the zombies not going up the ladder, hmmmm. I know a bunch of non zombies who would be too dumb or to scared to climb up the ladder. Hehehe. I still like the show even though they could have been more realistic at times.
