Default Boots In The Field Nominations

Nominations are now open for the first Wilderness Survival Forums "Boots In The Field" award. Here's how it'll work. Nominate the person (you can nominate more than one) that you feel have posted write-ups, pictures, videos, etc. of boots in the field experiences. Since this may/will be a recurring thing, the time frame for consideration should be limited. Let's give 90 days a try for this one. October 1st to December 31st. Some people that have posted great things about their experiences or teachings in the past, but not during this period should not really be considered. Remember the goal is to get out and do it, not "done it", I'll rest on my laurels. This is also a great idea for many of our members that cannot get out. Sometimes physical limitations may stop some of us. We all can learn from others.

So........let the nominations begin. If you nominate somebody (the voting will take place after the nomination period) please include a link or links to the threads that caused you to make your nomination. This will afford others that may have missed the OP to take a look.

    Good luck and have fun!

    PGV.

I don't have any threads. Just a little personal experience and that he says he is guiding and leading scouts. He also served his country. He makes a great chicken soup!

    So to clarify...
you can nominate as many people as you wish between Oct. 1st & Dec. 31st but only vote once, after Dec. 31st. Right?

Yes. If this goes well we will make it a recurring thing - that's why I really want to limit it to "stuff" done during the period - in this case October 1st until December 31st.

Maybe at some point we can do a "lifetime achievement award" or something. Baby steps first though.

Now we're also picking/referring to posts (of our nominee) starting Oct. 1st. (not before)
    Right?

OK, this was answered by Crash.

I'll have to second Rick's drat with a drat of my own. That's a double drat if you're counting. Come on PGV. You can do it. Give us a thread.

There's still more than two months to go. Phil still has to post from the Brandy Creek trip. I'm sure his contribution will be nomination worthy.
