Thanks for the beautiful shots, Crash.
I feel like I was there.
Crash,
Those are awesome pictures! I lived in NC for 10 years and tried to see peak fall colors numerous times. You went on a year that are more beautiful than I've ever seen there!
Thanks for sharing!
In the fire scene, I'm on the left in the blue Indy Colts shirt.
It was such a thrill to put names to names, if you know what I mean. I feel like I made some good friends this week-end and I was genuinely pleased to see some "old" ones again.
The boys have grown a foot since last year and in all honesty they are some pretty good guys. It really warms your heart when a little guy like that gives you a great big wave and asks, "How you been?". I got a good chuckle out of that. Neither of them were too keen about hunting bear with those spears. I guess they needed to do some practice before tackling the big stuff. They kept me informed of how many times they were able to stick those spears in the ground, however. Maybe next year on the bears.
Great pics, Crash. I won't post many of mine. Most are just a repeat but I will give you the valley in the morning. Crash gave you the valley in the evening.

In the group photo I'm the one with the red bandana.
OK - second row - green shirt and jeans.
I'm the one that's not there...in the the group picture(s) that is.
And I would love to do it again. It was nice meeting everyone and talking a bit and I wouldn't mind it being sooner than later. I think I did more listening than most, but that's how you learn.
Oh yeah I gained 4lbs. over the weekend! There were some awesome cooks there. From PGV's chicken soup to Rebel's wings; it was all good.
Great pics! Thanks for sharing with those of us that couldnt make it! I sure hope to get some time off next year to try to get to one.
Temps must have been a little different there than here...There is no way that people would have put their chairs that far from a campfire up here this time of year!!
Rick and Crash,
I showed your pics to the misses and she said: "you have a good eye". I agree. Thanks.
People always look much different to me in person rather than online. It looks like a good time and a really beautiful area.
Those are some great pics Crash.
I am equus I have the turquoise jacket on. The two little warriors there are mine and Poco's sons Robbie and Bret. They are 5 and 4 years old. They love to camp.
Proof of a higher power, is the power of a horses stride. Line for line, grace and majesty, taking me for a ride.
In the group picture i am on the bottom right.
I had a great time and it was good to meet everyone.
It was a very relaxing weekend.

I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.

Wow! You came away with a great pick of Angel Falls. I'm glad everyone made it home safe and sound.
Voices are like that. People never look like they sound. Oh, wait ... never mind.Originally Posted by RWC

Fanastic photos. You really did pick the right time to go.
Crash... Your new sylph-like figure looks great too! You really do look half the man you used to be. I'm seriously impressed!

Thanks Winnie. Still have a ways to go, but not as long a journey as when I started.
When IDing folks, I failed to point out my lovely bride. Here's Mrs. Crash enjoying the fire that she started.
