    Default won't be around much

I just found out that I got the teaching position I had interviewed for last week (first and only interview I have had in years). I start TOMORROW. I have taken the last 8 years off to raise my family and am just now re-entering the work force, so this should be interesting. Wish me luck!

Congratulations. I have a teachers certification, but have never used it. I thought it would be a good back up plan if I ever needed a job.

Congrats MM and best of luck with your new 'career"
If by what I have learned over the years, allow me to help one person to start to prepare. If all the mistakes I have made, let me give one person the wisdom that allows them to save their life or the life of a loved one in an emergency. Then I will truly know that all the work I have done will have been worth every minute.

Thanks y'all. I actually went in today to fill out paperwork and ended up teaching the rest of the day lol I figure if I can handle these high school students, I can handle anything life throws at me

    Congrats!! I loved teaching.

The kids were always great (except for 95% of them being dumb as a post) adults were the ones that made me crazy!

Walked into the classroom in 1975 and just retired this spring.

I'm not going back. They can't make me go back!

Ahhhh,so you were able to teach some of the children (and grand children?) of some of the first children you taught??

How did the generations change while you were teaching?

whew! I have now been teaching for about 3 weeks. I absolutely love my job and 99% of my coworkers and students. I was also asked to be the cheerleading advisor, which has been taking up a large chunk of my time lately. Between that, cleaning my husband's office building on the weekends, caring for my own kids, and all the household chores, it's difficult to come online much these days. I sure do miss y'all!
