With all the guns being reproduced these days in modern cartridges, there is one that I would love to see.

I would love it if the Winchester 1907 self loading rifle that was originally chambered in .351 brought back and chambered in the .460 S&W

Or in the very least if Taurus would chamber the Puma in the .460 S&W.

I would like to see that too. I also would like to see a modern firearm chambered in 50-110 winchester that way i could retire my 86.

I just got a 9mm barrel for my .30 carbine reciever and i've been thinking of chambering it in 9mm Mag. It would be a close equivilent to the .351 self loading. And a plus that I would then have a long gun to go with my IAI Auto Mag III (9mm Mag).
I would like to see Marlin make a lever gun in .460 (16 inch barrel)
    I know what hunts you.

I do not know why I over looked the obvious. I can just pick up Marlin 336 and have it rebarreled with a 16" 460 barrel and have the under tube cut down as well.

I can pick up a 336 for around $200 and have the rework done for less than $300.

Now I am on a mission.

The 45/70 and the 450 marlin both exceed the case capacity of the 460. Any reloader can duplicate the 460 load and exceed it. Wild West guns in Anchorage would make what you want probably. You'll like their take down conversions and have a few other custom cartridges the make.

Use Caution loading Marlin Hot. One of the signs of too much pressure is a stuck case. The big advantage of the Marlin is quick follow up shots and having a stuck case during a bear attack can be bad news. It happened to my boss at work and he's a well traveled, experienced hunter with a den full of African trophies.

I love both those cartridges. Right now I have a 10" Contender in 444 Marlin.

The idea behind the 460 S&W is because I am also looking at getting a Colt Anaconda in 45 LC. I can load the 45LC to with in spitting distance of the 454 Cussul and Then the 45 LC could be used in the rifle in a pinch.

I want to go to the 460 because I am always trying to cut weight down. The area's I hunt, I seldom shoot over 40 yrds and out to 200 is more than plenty usually. If I plan on being where I need the distance, then I take my Remington 700.
