quite a few thoughts on the subject in the cold-cold-cold thread hillbilly.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

Good things about summer. It's not cold, the women wear less, and the days are longer.
Bad things about winter. It is cold, the women wear more, and the days are shorter.

In the summer you can only take off so many close and its still hot at least in the winter you can warm up

In the winter: you can go months with only night (arctic circle) + women need to be warmed + nightclubs are open all night (all month )

Cabin Fever this time of year. Notice a lot more bar fights lately. One of the bar tenders got the end of his nose bit tonight.

Winter it ok but this year it is wetter then usual. I am not used to all this wet. Winter camping is on hold this year. Either I am getting older or smarter. I sure hope the weather cooperates for a outing by the end of February.

All this snow was getting on my nerves and I hate shoveling, so I bought a jacked up Suburban w/ a snow plow already installed. I am kinda enjoying the white stuff now. Plus the idiots up here will give you the shirt off their back or their first born child to plow so they don't have to. Pretty good investment.

Good thinking Last M, you can always take advantage of a bad situation. If you don't like it, then there will be others as well. Might as well make some money off of it while you can.

Half the time I plow up a big pile just so I can park on top of it.

Just warming up to a balmy -18C after a week around the -27C to -38C mark. I like the winter and cold, but as far as personal comfort is concerned I wouldn't mind missing out on the below -30C temps! Makes hauling water, wood, looking after the homestead critters not that much fun when it's really cold.

I like the cold if I'm in my truck with the heat cranking or next to a roaring campfire.
